Privacy at CuracaoBound
CuracaoBound is an independent travel information and affiliate website about Curaçao. We aim to process as little personal data as practical and use data only for features you request, website security and — if you choose it — website analytics.
What data may be processed?
During a normal visit, the hosting and technical systems may process information such as IP address, browser, device, requested page, time and security or error data. This is needed to deliver and protect the website.
Google Analytics
CuracaoBound uses Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-6765BZXJKK. Analytics is loaded only after you allow Analytics in our privacy controls. We use it to understand which pages and features are useful and to improve the site. Our implementation does not enable advertising storage or ad personalization.
Location
When you deliberately select Use my location, your browser asks for location permission. We use the position to sort nearby places or gas stations. CuracaoBound does not build a long-term profile containing your precise GPS location.
Maps and external content
If you allow external maps, map services such as OpenStreetMap and Google may be loaded. Those providers receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. Google services are also subject to Google’s privacy terms.
External images
Some editorial images are loaded directly from external image servers, including Wikimedia Commons and an external image CDN. When the image is requested, that server receives technical request data such as your IP address and browser information.
Browser storage
Features such as saved hotels, comparisons, trip saves, travel dates, units and your privacy choice use local browser storage. This is intended to support the feature you requested and normally remains on your device until you remove it.
Contact
If you use the contact form, we process the information you submit so we can handle your message. CuracaoBound is hosted on Netlify, so form submissions and technical requests can be processed through the hosting environment.
Commercial partners and external websites
Some links lead to travel partners, hotels, tour operators or other third-party providers. Once you leave CuracaoBound, that provider’s privacy and cookie terms apply. See our Affiliate & Editorial Policy for more about commercial relationships.
Your choices and rights
You can refuse optional Analytics and external maps or change your choice later through . For privacy questions or requests concerning access, correction or deletion, use our contact form. The exact rights that apply depend on the relevant law and circumstances.
Retention
Local browser storage remains until you remove it or the relevant feature clears it. Google Analytics retention follows the configuration of the Analytics property and Google’s controls. Contact messages are not kept longer than reasonably needed to handle the request, administration and any necessary follow-up.
Changes
We update this policy when the website, services or applicable requirements change.
