A rental car gives you a lot of freedom in Curaçao. The west-coast coves, Shete Boka, Christoffel Park and Westpunt are spread across the island, so having your own car makes spontaneous stops easy. If you mainly stay in Willemstad, Mambo Beach or Jan Thiel, you can manage some days without one. For the west coast, nature parks and beach hopping, a rental car is especially useful.
