Why visit Kleine Knip?
Kleine Knip, also known as Kenepa Chiki, is the kind of beach where a quick stop easily turns into a few hours. It is smaller than Grote Knip and has a casual, uncomplicated feel. Choose it when you do not need a beach club and simply want to be close to the water.
Swimming and snorkeling
The rocky sides are the most interesting areas for snorkelers, while the center is good for an easy swim. Because the beach is compact, you can quickly see where it is busier or calmer and choose your spot accordingly.
With children
The small scale works well with children because everything is close to the shoreline. Bring enough drinks, snacks and your own shade, though; facilities are much more limited than at Cas Abao or Blue Bay.
Practical tips
Kleine Knip works well for half a day or as a second beach on a road trip. Water shoes can be useful around rocky sections. Do not leave valuables visible in the car and take your rubbish with you.
Combine it smartly
Combine Kleine Knip with Grote Knip or Playa Lagun. For lunch, continue towards Lagun or Westpunt rather than driving all the way back to Willemstad.

How long should you stay?
Two or three hours is enough for a swim and a relaxed look around. Allow half a day if you want to snorkel, have lunch or settle into the beach properly. Kleine Knip can be combined with nearby stops, but avoid turning the west coast into a checklist. Driving, parking, changing and swimming all take longer than the map suggests.
